Tundra Migration Open World in UE5

This particle experimentation work was really exciting! I’ve always wanted to simulate herds of animals using Niagara and after learning a technique from the master Ghislain Girardot to keep particles locked to the landscape heightmap I was able to have particles navigate with velocity around the landscape surface. After that it was just doing vertex animation maps for the animation cycles for the Caribou.

This is still in a limited state as far as player interaction, no logic is hooked up right now to have these particles react to the radius of the player. But I’m hoping I can change that in the very near future! 😀
