Going into the new year with doing a piece that focuses more on large open spaces around high mountain peaks. I did some hiking with my dad growing up in Colorado in the mountains and absolutely loved the feeling and separate world those high up places have.
This was also a great opportunity to pivot away from trees and dense foliage and focus more on rocks, terrain and mountains for my foliage pipelines. Also found a great way to use Niagara’s flipbook baker tool to have blowing leaf shapes follow a twisty curvy path on a plane rather than having to do the difficult work of having particles follow a spline with proper acceleration and feeling of flow.
