Lots of components being layered into this level space!
First, what I wanted to do was tie a gameplay action. Something simple like pressing an action key to trigger an effect on the world. In this case having a burst of energy which also was an opportunity to polish my gameplay VFX skills and get some fun timing in the energy burst visuals. Then linking the effect trigger to a world space factor to have the leaves get blown away by the burst effect. Also setting up a simple radius and trigger to scatter the birds when the player is close and spawns the effect.
I also am working on Navigation pawns and animation blueprints, it’s still an ongoing process and will hopefully have a scene that can show off the progress soon. But for now I wanted to showcase some cranes using pawn navigation and a certain idling dark entity that stalks you from the darkness of the forest. :)
